HomeHQ Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating a HomeHQ account or using the service at homehqapp.com, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use HomeHQ.

2. The service

HomeHQ is a household task and calendar manager with AI-powered features (task extraction, daily brief, integrations). The service is provided as-is and is continuously improving. We may add, change, or remove features.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 to create an account. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your email and any phone numbers up to date so we can reach you. You may invite household members; each invited adult member creates their own account governed by these Terms.

4. Household subscriptions

Automatic renewal — please read

Your HomeHQ paid subscription automatically renews. You will be charged $14.99 every month (or $99 every year) to the payment method on file, at the start of each billing period, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time before a renewal at /account → Billing; cancellation stops all future charges, and your paid features continue until the end of the current billing period. By starting a paid subscription you acknowledge and authorize these recurring charges.

  • Free tier. HomeHQ Lite is available at no cost with limits described in the app.
  • Paid tier. $14.99 per month or $99 per year (saves $80 vs. monthly), per household — not per person. One paid plan covers everyone in the household. The first 100 paying households can lock in the founding rate ($9.99/month or $99/year) forever; after that, regular pricing applies to new signups.
  • Free trial.Every new paid subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. We don't require a card to start the trial. If you don't add a payment method before the trial ends, your household automatically reverts to the free tier.
  • Billing. Paid plans are charged via Stripe at the start of each billing period and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • Cancellation.Cancel any time at /account → Billing. Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. We don't prorate refunds for partial periods, but if a charge was clearly in error, email us and we'll make it right.
  • Price changes.If we change pricing, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect on your account.

5. Your content

Tasks, lists, calendar events, photos, manual entries, medical records, and other content you put into HomeHQ remain yours. You grant HomeHQ a limited license to store, transmit, and process that content only as needed to run the service for you (including sending the small slices our subprocessors require — see the Privacy Policy). We never claim ownership, never sell your content, and never use it to train AI models.

6. Connected integrations

If you connect Google Calendar, Gmail, Apple iCloud, Outlook, GroupMe, or other third-party services, you authorize HomeHQ to access the specific scopes you approve. You can revoke that access at any time from /settings, and you must comply with the third party's own terms when connecting their account.

7. AI suggestions

HomeHQ uses AI to draft tasks from inputs you provide (photos, voice memos, scoped inbox scans). AI output may contain mistakes. Every AI-extracted task or event is shown to you as a suggestion you confirm before it touches your calendar or task list. You're responsible for reviewing AI suggestions before relying on them.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use HomeHQ to:

  • Store or transmit illegal content.
  • Harass, harm, or violate the privacy of others.
  • Send unsolicited communications using the service's outbound channels.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the service or its underlying technology.
  • Bypass rate limits, automation guards, or other technical protections.
  • Use AI features to generate content that violates third-party rights or applicable laws.
  • Use HomeHQ outputs to train, develop, or evaluate competing AI products or models, or to build a competing service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice when reasonable.

9. Service availability

We work hard to keep HomeHQ up and accurate, but we provide the service "as is" without warranty. Calendar syncing, email delivery, SMS delivery, and AI extraction can fail for reasons outside our control (provider outages, carrier filtering, expired OAuth tokens). Don't rely on HomeHQ alone for life-safety or time-critical communication.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeHQ's total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including lost data, lost profits, or missed appointments.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify HomeHQ against claims arising from content you upload or send through the service, or from your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You can stop using HomeHQ at any time. Deleting your account removes your household's content within 30 days, except for billing records required by law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security risk.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any claim must be brought in a state or federal court located in Mobile County, Alabama, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court with jurisdiction. You waive the right to participate in a class action arising from your use of HomeHQ.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms over time. If we make material changes, we'll email everyone with an active account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on a HomeHQ, Your Local Pro, Officient, or Launch Golf service infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to our designated agent at dmca@homehqapp.com. Our designated agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office (Registration Number DMCA-1072832).

A valid notice must identify the copyrighted work and the allegedly infringing material, include your contact information, and contain a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the rights holder. We respond to valid notices, may remove the material, and terminate repeat infringers.

16. General terms

  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms, are the entire agreement between you and HomeHQ and supersede any prior understandings.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, internet or provider outages, or governmental action.
  • Survival. Sections 5, 7, 10, 11, and 13 (your content, AI suggestions, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) survive termination of these Terms.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
