What HomeHQ sends
HomeHQ sends transactional SMS messages summarizing the user's own household tasks and calendar — what we call the "daily brief." A typical message looks like:
HomeHQ — 3 things on your plate. Soccer pickup 5pm, dentist confirmed Tuesday, Charlie's permission slip in your bag.
We do not send marketing, promotional, or third-party messages over SMS — only the household summary the user explicitly enabled.
Frequency
Up to two messages per day per opted-in user — one morning brief (around 7am local) and one evening brief (around 5pm local). Users can choose "morning only," "evening only," or "off" in their account settings.
How users opt in
- Sign in to a HomeHQ account at homehqapp.com.
- Open /account → Notifications.
- Enter a mobile phone number in E.164 format (e.g. +15551234567).
- Toggle the "SMS" checkbox to on.
- Click "Save preferences."
Phone number entry and the SMS toggle are explicit, separate actions. SMS notifications are off by default for every new user.
On first opt-in we send a one-time welcome SMS confirming the subscription and reminding the user how to opt out.
How users opt out
Reply STOP to any HomeHQ SMS. Standard carrier keyword. Users can also turn SMS off in /account → Notifications at any time, or remove their phone number entirely.
Reply HELP for help, or contact hello@homehqapp.com.
Carrier charges
Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on the user's mobile carrier and plan. HomeHQ does not charge for SMS.
Privacy
Phone numbers are stored encrypted at rest, used only for delivering the user's own brief, and never shared with third parties or used for advertising. We never sell user data. Full privacy notice at homehqapp.com/privacy.
